Finding an English-speaking obstetrician
How to get a current doctor list without relying on a named roster that goes stale.
Do not use a year-old name from a forum
Attending rosters change. This site does not publish a named list for that reason. Use the hospital’s current channel.
What to ask
Call or message the international medical department or the maternity package desk. Ask: which obstetricians will see a patient in English this month; whether that doctor is the one who will deliver; what happens if they are on leave when you go into labor.
At United Family and OASIS, doctor profiles are on the English website. Book a first visit with two doctors before you pay a package deposit.
At a public hospital
Ask for the international medical department () or the special-needs ward (). That is where bilingual staff, if they exist, are assigned. The main obstetrics queue will not suddenly produce an English-speaking clerk.
If no bilingual attending is available, hire a medical translator for every visit. Read that guide before the file day.
