The main public hospital used by families in Haidian. It has national-level obstetrics and IVF, a high-level NICU, and an international medical department if you want bilingual support at public-hospital prices.
What to know
- Open a pregnancy file (建卡) as early as you can — usually from about 6–9 weeks. See the 北医三院 walkthrough on this site.
- The international medical department (国际医疗部) is the practical option if neither parent reads Chinese medical forms.
- Partners are more often kept out of the delivery room than at private hospitals. Confirm the current rule when you open your file.
- Appointments are usually booked through the WeChat official account 「北医三院服务号」. An English phone desk is available on weekday daytime hours.
An English-speaking doctor
This site does not list named obstetricians. Rosters change. Ask the international or special-needs desk for the current English-speaking attending list, then meet two doctors before you buy a package.
